Shipping & Returns

We currently ship to Australia and New Zealand using Australia Post.

Tracking information is sent via email as soon as your order is packed and ready to be shipped.

If there is an issue with your order, please reach out to us via email at sarah@bakd.com.au and we will do our best to help.

Processing Time

Being a small team, it can take us 3-5 business days to have your order packed and shipped. As soon as we ship your order, you will receive an email with tracking info. We ship all parcels using Australia Post. For any queries on the status of your order, please reach out via the shop chat or email sarah@bakd.com.au.

Allergen Information

Our crystal candy is made using Agar Agar powder which is a gelatinous substance derived from red seaweed. This makes our delicious crystals vegan given that the agar agar contains no animal products.

Our crystals also contain granulated sugar as well as various colours and flavourings.

While the crystals are gluten free, we are not a GF registered kitchen. However, as we only prepare crystal candy in our warehouse, we are confident that there is no cross-contamination.

Some of our crystals may have sharp edges, so please proceed with caution if sharing with young children.

Founder's Note - From Sarah

I never planned to start a candy brand.. it kind of just happened.

Back in 2020, when the world had shut down, I was just a mum in my kitchen experimenting and trying to keep that creative spark alive. That’s when I discovered Japanese crystal candy. What immediately caught my attention was how beautiful it looked β€” these little sparkling pieces that almost looked like edible jewels. I just had to try making them for myself.

What started as a simple kitchen experiment slowly grew into something much bigger. Over time, more and more people discovered Bak’d and fell in love with crystal candy just like we had. Somewhere along the way, it stopped being just about candy and started becoming a community of people who share in the joy, the colour and the sparkle.

If you choose to purchase from Bak’d, please know that we are forever grateful. Never in my wildest dreams did I think a tiny kitchen project would grow into Australia’s biggest crystal candy brand β€” or more importantly, a beautiful community of people who have supported us from day one.

    Sun Kissed Crystal Jelly Box

    My sun kissed crystal jellies were packaged very nicely. They looked amazing so I was excited to try some! The texture of the jelly part is unique and the crunchy outside is so good. :) My favourites of this box would have to be the lemon turtle, melon shell and the grape and guava clusters. The clusters were extra crunchy! The flavours are great! I also liked how pretty the Peony looked. Thanks heaps! I might try the rainbow sticks next time!

    Sun kissed box

    Crystal candy was delicious. I felt like it needed a bit more orange to it. Other than that everything else was beautiful crunchy but jelly in the inside and my kids devoured it. I recommend this to family and friends 100% as a gift or just as a snack or a good movie night. Beautiful job Sarah & ben & team πŸ™‚

    I tad disappointed

    Grandkids were so excited to get home and try the items in the sun-kissed box.We waited a couple days so the candies could harden up and get the crunch effect we all see,unfortunately they didn’t really get to crunchy and didn’t look much like the ones we’ve seen in videos.They were quiet soft and sponge like.Kids still enjoyed trying them.

    I'm so sorry to hear that the crystal candies didn't get as crunchy as you were hoping for, even after letting them sit out for a couple of days.

    Not for me :(

    Love the presentation, and the taste is also lovely!

    But the texture for me is not my thing.

    I expected them to be more soft, and less hard and gelatinous. They kind of clump in your mouth and not melt which I was expecting.

    If you love gelatine then these are for you! I’m glad I’ve tried them, but I’ll leave them to you all!
