At Bak’d, we believe nothing should go to waste — especially when it’s still delicious! That’s why we’ve created a limited run of NQR Packs: packed with perfectly imperfect crystal candy pieces that may not look the part, but still taste just as magical.
Inside each box you’ll find 10–15 mixed pieces — think crystals, clusters, stix, and more. Some might be a little broken, some clusters aren’t quite round, and a few may have developed a white “sugar bloom” (a natural quirk of candy-making). But don’t worry — every single piece is still safe to eat and full of flavour.

💡 Please note: These packs are NQR — Not Quite Right. They may look a little rough around the edges, but they’re still handmade, vegan, gluten-free, and 100% Bak’d delicious. Some packs may include Nerd topped pieces. If this is the case, the candies are not vegan + gluten free. If you have an intolerance, please leave us a note at the checkout so we don't include those in your box.

We currently ship to Australia and New Zealand using Australia Post.
Tracking information is sent via email as soon as your order is packed and ready to be shipped.

Being a small team, it can take us 3-5 business days to have your order packed and shipped. As soon as we ship your order, you will receive an email with tracking info. We ship all parcels using Australia Post. For any queries on the status of your order, please reach out via the shop chat or email sarah@bakd.com.au.

Our crystal candy is made using Agar Agar powder which is a gelatinous substance derived from red seaweed. This makes our delicious crystals vegan given that the agar agar contains no animal products.
Our crystals also contain granulated sugar as well as various colours and flavourings.
While the crystals are gluten free, we are not a GF registered kitchen. However, as we only prepare crystal candy in our warehouse, we are confident that there is no cross-contamination.
Some of our crystals may have sharp edges, so please proceed with caution if sharing with young children.

Founder's Note - From Sarah
I never planned to start a candy brand.. it kind of just happened.
Back in 2020, when the world had shut down, I was just a mum in my kitchen experimenting and trying to keep that creative spark alive. That’s when I discovered Japanese crystal candy. What immediately caught my attention was how beautiful it looked — these little sparkling pieces that almost looked like edible jewels. I just had to try making them for myself.
What started as a simple kitchen experiment slowly grew into something much bigger. Over time, more and more people discovered Bak’d and fell in love with crystal candy just like we had. Somewhere along the way, it stopped being just about candy and started becoming a community of people who share in the joy, the colour and the sparkle.
If you choose to purchase from Bak’d, please know that we are forever grateful. Never in my wildest dreams did I think a tiny kitchen project would grow into Australia’s biggest crystal candy brand — or more importantly, a beautiful community of people who have supported us from day one.
Bak’d has only come this far because of people like you who took a chance on a small family-run brand. People who believed in our candy and in us.

My second order happened to be a NQR box. It was a great sampler of the different styles of crystal candy which I loved. It helped be recognise the styles I liked and others that turned out to not be for me (clusters - too crunchy).

WOW I just can’t get enough, this candy is amazing I’m on my 5th/6th order. The flavours are amazing the crunch even better and the packaging is bright and colourful it makes the presentation amazing.
I love everything about Bak’d. With my first order I had the musk cluster which I didn’t realy like, but it was in my pack so I gave that lil cluster another shot, and not too bad.
Sarah & Ben you guys are amazing and I’m looking forward to see what you come up with next. I have to say my fave is Ben’s chocolate gems they were the bomb,

The flavors is great and the crunch is great. Not a big fan of the texture in the middle. First time trying it and you iether like it or you dont. Glad I have tried it.
