Created in honour of Ben & Sarah’s 14th wedding anniversary, the Love Bites Box is our sweetest celebration yet, a limited-edition crystal candy box designed for sharing, gifting, or spoiling yourself (because self-love counts too 😉).

This curated box brings together romantic shapes, dreamy colours, and nostalgic flavours, all handmade in our Melbourne studio and air-dried to achieve that signature Bak’d crunch with a soft jelly centre.

Shipping & Returns

We currently ship to Australia and New Zealand using Australia Post.

Tracking information is sent via email as soon as your order is packed and ready to be shipped.

Processing Time

Being a small team, it can take us 3-5 business days to have your order packed and shipped. As soon as we ship your order, you will receive an email with tracking info. We ship all parcels using Australia Post. For any queries on the status of your order, please reach out via the shop chat or email sarah@bakd.com.au.

Allergen Information

Our crystal candy is made using Agar Agar powder which is a gelatinous substance derived from red seaweed. This makes our delicious crystals vegan given that the agar agar contains no animal products.

Our crystals also contain granulated sugar as well as various colours and flavourings.

While the crystals are gluten free, we are not a GF registered kitchen. However, as we only prepare crystal candy in our warehouse, we are confident that there is no cross-contamination.

Some of our crystals may have sharp edges, so please proceed with caution if sharing with young children.

Founder's Note - From Sarah

I never planned to start a candy brand.. it kind of just happened.

Back in 2020, when the world had shut down, I was just a mum in my kitchen experimenting and trying to keep that creative spark alive. That’s when I discovered Japanese crystal candy. What immediately caught my attention was how beautiful it looked — these little sparkling pieces that almost looked like edible jewels. I just had to try making them for myself.

What started as a simple kitchen experiment slowly grew into something much bigger. Over time, more and more people discovered Bak’d and fell in love with crystal candy just like we had. Somewhere along the way, it stopped being just about candy and started becoming a community of people who share in the joy, the colour and the sparkle.

If you choose to purchase from Bak’d, please know that we are forever grateful. Never in my wildest dreams did I think a tiny kitchen project would grow into Australia’s biggest crystal candy brand — or more importantly, a beautiful community of people who have supported us from day one.

    Love bites box

    Cyrstal candy is very yum 🤤

    I definitely recommend strawberries & creams as flavour. My children devoured it.

    Crunch worth every bite. Recommend to family and friends. Did amazing job ben & Sarah 🙂

    Yummy flavour, little crunch

    The box and presentation was really good, the flavour of the candy is delish and it’s not too sweet. Maybe I watched too many social media things, and expected more crunch - but that was the draw card for me, so I was disappointed. They softened in transit, so I let them sit out for a week, and I still have them sitting out to see if they get crunchier. Glad I tried them, wouldn’t repurchase or recommend.

    The Love Bites Box did contain some larger pieces of crystal candy, meaning they do have more jelly in the centre, so a lighter crunch, though we completely understand your disappointment about the crunch factor, especially when that was what drew you to try them in the first place. I am glad you've left them to sit out though, this is absolutely what we recommend doing to improve that crunch factor! Please feel free to keep us posted with how they go.
