Our crystal candy is made using Agar Agar powder which is a gelatinous substance derived from red seaweed. This makes our delicious crystals vegan given that the agar agar contains no animal products.
Our crystals also contain granulated sugar as well as various colours and flavourings.
While the crystals are gluten free, we are not a GF registered kitchen. However, as we only prepare crystal candy in our warehouse, we are confident that there is no cross-contamination.
Some of our crystals may have sharp edges, so please proceed with caution if sharing with young children.

Founder's Note - From Sarah
I never planned to start a candy brand.. it kind of just happened.
Back in 2020, when the world had shut down, I was just a mum in my kitchen experimenting and trying to keep that creative spark alive. That’s when I discovered Japanese crystal candy. What immediately caught my attention was how beautiful it looked — these little sparkling pieces that almost looked like edible jewels. I just had to try making them for myself.
What started as a simple kitchen experiment slowly grew into something much bigger. Over time, more and more people discovered Bak’d and fell in love with crystal candy just like we had. Somewhere along the way, it stopped being just about candy and started becoming a community of people who share in the joy, the colour and the sparkle.
If you choose to purchase from Bak’d, please know that we are forever grateful. Never in my wildest dreams did I think a tiny kitchen project would grow into Australia’s biggest crystal candy brand — or more importantly, a beautiful community of people who have supported us from day one.

I ordered the crystal sticks, sour pot and blue raspberry crystal candy and it was soooo good. All those ads you see promoting the product on Facebook and Instagram are true!!! It did not disappoint! :)

I got the blue raspberry crystal candy as a gift for my sister. we both tried it and it was so awesome! i didnt think that id actually liked it but i did. it look really in real life and it was super crunchy. when i opened the package, the smell was amazing. thank you guys so much!

Delicious and delicate - the flavour is subtle yet it still packs a punch upon first bite given how crunchy the outside is.

The candies look incredible, they are just like what you see in the video reviews, aesthetically pleasing to the eye, beautifully crafted, gorgeous to look at. It was easy to order, the customer service was 10/10, very friendly owner. I had a few issues with delivery on my end not Bak’d but the owner was really great and friendly to deal with and my delivery was fixed up perfectly in the end (I had accidentally given a wrong address, not Bak’d fault, but they were great to deal with and communicative, problem solving 10/10.) The crunch of these candies is amazing, texture 10/10, nice and soft inside, it’s luxury candy! Critiques: You will pay a price though, it’s not cheap, but hey I understand how hard small business is in this economic climate and you have to cover costs. They really are gourmet and beautifully made. However, and this is just subjective, I wasn’t a fan of the flavours. They tasted very artificial but that’s just my taste. Everyone’s different. I was expecting more of a Natural Confectionary Company type flavour. Just being honest, everything else was perfect though. You need to try for yourself. The crystal stix are probably best to start with to see if you like the flavours. (I purchased a pack each of Peach candies, and Blue Raspberry and a tub of Crystal Stix)
