A Full-Circle Moment: Bak’d Creates Custom Crystal Candy for Supré

Some orders are just a little more surreal than others… and this was definitely one of them.

Recently, the Bak’d team had the opportunity to create a custom corporate order for Supré, and for me personally, this one was a pretty special full-circle moment.

If you grew up in Australia in the 2000s, chances are Supré needs absolutely no introduction. It was the store. The tiny tops. The going-out outfits. The iconic shopping bags. Walking into Supré as a teenager felt like an EVENT.

So when we received an order from Supré all these years later, except this time for my own business, you can imagine my reaction.

From shopping at Supré to creating for Supré

Growing up, Supré was such an iconic brand for me. I spent plenty of time shopping there throughout the 2000s, so never in a million years would teenage me have imagined that one day I'd be creating something for them through a business of my own.

But here we are!

Supré was preparing to launch a new collection and wanted to include something extra special in their influencer PR gifting.

Enter: Bak’d crystal candy.

We were asked to create custom crystal candy tins that could be included inside their PR packs and sent out to influencers alongside pieces from the new collection.

Obviously, we said YES.

For the collaboration, we created custom tins filled with our handmade crystal candy, giving Supré something colourful, fun and a little unexpected to add to their influencer gifting.

Seeing the finished tins lined up at Bak’d HQ ready to head off was one of those moments where I had to appreciate just how strange and wonderful running a business can be.

One minute you're making crystal candy and packing orders.

The next, you're creating custom products for a brand you grew up shopping at.

Casual.

Why crystal candy works so well for PR gifting

One of the things we love most about creating corporate and PR orders is being able to turn our crystal candy into something that feels completely unique to the brand or event.

Crystal candy is already incredibly visual, the colours, shapes, sparkle and signature crunch make it a product people naturally want to photograph, film and share.

For launches and influencer gifting in particular, it creates that little "wait… what IS this?" moment when someone opens their package.

And then, of course, comes the crunch.

Whether it's custom colours, flavours, packaging or presentation, we love finding ways to make Bak’d feel like part of the brand's world while still keeping everything unmistakably crystal candy.

At 36, being able to say that my business created a corporate order for Supré feels pretty special.

It's one of those little milestones that teenage Sarah certainly wouldn't have predicted.

From being the girl shopping at Supré in the 2000s to standing inside Bak’d HQ preparing custom crystal candy tins for their PR launch…

Full. Circle. Moment.
