Do you love a tasty, colourful, sweet bevvy like me? I'm a sucker for a good cocktail and what better way to enjoy a delicious drink than with some of our crystal candies!
Hence, our mini-cocktail series was born!
First up Ben and I battled it out to see who could create the best rainbow layered cocktail. You can watch the chaos unfold here. I think we tied to be honest, but if you're keen on making one yourself, see the recipe below.
You'll need the following:
Grenadine syrup
Orange juice
Blue curacao
Vodka
Method
1) Pour the grenadine syrup (16 oz / 40 ml) into a 400 ml glass. Then, fill the glass with ice cubes or crushed ice.
2) Mix 4 oz / 160 ml pineapple juice in a separate cup with 2 oz / 80 ml Malibu. Pour this mixture over the glass with grenadine syrup and ice. (We did this step wrong and instead used OJ mixed with vodka). To create an orange layer, you can stir for a moment. You’ll see that the red layer mixes with the yellow, and then you get orange!
3) The last layer is the hardest. In a separate cup, mix 1 oz / 40 ml water with ½ oz / 20 ml blue curacao (if you don’t, the blue layer will sink). Carefully pour this (use a spoon) over the yellow layer. You will see that blue and yellow mix to green, and the top layer remains beautifully blue.
If you do decide to try making this at home, don't forget to tag us in your creations and let us know if your rainbow turned out better than ours! 😂
